Full Stack Developer - TypeScript/Node.js

£450 per day | Inside IR35 | Leeds Hybrid | Contract until March 2027

We're recruiting for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a major digital transformation programme, working on large-scale, business-critical applications and services.

You'll join a multidisciplinary Agile team, taking solutions from design through to deployment, with plenty of opportunity to influence technical decisions and maintain high engineering standards.

The role

• Build Back End services using TypeScript & Node.js
• Develop modern Front End applications
• Design and integrate REST APIs and microservices
• Build scalable, secure and maintainable software
• Develop automated tests using Playwright & Jest
• Work with AWS and GitHub Actions
• Contribute to technical design and engineering standards
• Support code reviews, knowledge sharing and mentoring

Key requirements

• Strong commercial TypeScript & Node.js Back End experience
• Full-stack experience with React, Angular or similar
• Strong experience building REST APIs/microservices
• AWS experience
• Automated testing - ideally Playwright & Jest
• CI/CD and Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles
• Experience working within Agile engineering teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Contract details

Rate: £450 per day - Inside IR35
Start: 12 October 2026
Duration: Until 31 March 2027
Location: Leeds - approximately 1 day per week onsite, with some flexibility
