Solutions Architect, Birmingham (Hybrid)

I'm supporting a large, well established organisation in the professional services sector that is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to help drive their modernisation and cloud-led technology strategy. This role sits within a collaborative architecture function where you'll influence major projects and play a key part in shaping how technology supports the wider business.

You must have prior experience within P rofessional Services, Legal, or Accounting Environments to be considered for this position.

What you'll be doing:
  • Designing end-to-end technical solutions that support business goals and align with long-term technology plans
  • Working closely with stakeholders to clarify needs, explore solution options, and communicate architectural recommendations in a clear, accessible way
  • Assessing current systems and identifying opportunities to modernise, simplify, or improve integration across platforms
  • Providing architectural guidance to delivery teams and ensuring designs are implemented effectively throughout the project life cycle
  • Helping define integration approaches between new and existing systems, ensuring consistency and interoperability
  • Advising on data, security and platform considerations to make sure solutions meet compliance and governance expectations
  • Contributing to internal architecture standards and participating in broader discussions around future technology direction
  • Staying informed on emerging tools and techniques, bringing forward new ideas that add value
Essential technical experience:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and cloud-native design
  • Experience working with enterprise integration patterns and API management
  • Practical experience with:
    • Azure AD, Azure DevOps
    • Microsoft 365, Win365, Power Platform
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and cloud-native design principles.
    • Integration tools/Middleware
    • Identity & Access Management
    • AI related technologies
    • Enterprise applications (document/case management, CRM, finance systems)
    • Networking and infrastructure fundamentals
    • Agile delivery methodologies
