We're looking for an experienced Test & Measurement IT Systems SME to join a major manufacturing organisation on an initial 3-month contract.
You'll provide specialist expertise across test beds, instrumentation, data acquisition and the IT systems supporting engineering test environments, helping deliver next-generation IIoT, low-code/no-code and test solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide SME expertise across Test & Measurement IT systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot and provide Tier 3 support for complex solutions.
- Translate engineering and business requirements into practical, enterprise-aligned solutions.
- Work closely with engineering, operations and senior IT stakeholders.
- Support IIoT, edge data, low-code/no-code and emerging AI capabilities.
- Coach and share knowledge with the wider Test & Measurement team.
Requirements
- Proven SME-level experience with Test & Measurement IT systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with test beds, instrumentation and data acquisition .
- Experience supporting physical product development and test processes .
- Practical experience with IIoT and/or low-code/no-code solutions .
- Strong troubleshooting and Tier 3 support experience.
- Ability to translate business and engineering requirements into functional IT solutions.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and senior non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within a governed enterprise IT/architecture environment .
Desirable: Experience with AI/ML in industrial or test environments, and technical coaching or mentoring.
