Consultant - VMware Cloud Foundation (2)

As a modern cloud consultancy and managed services provider, we guide enterprises across most industry sectors through digital transformation projects deploying advanced IT solutions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. You will be part of an inclusive, friendly, supportive, and high performing organisation that is challenged to deliver excellence across a diverse range of cloud technologies.

By joining our team, you will receive an excellent remuneration package, benefits and a personalised development plan enabling you to meet your individual aspirations.

We’re working with enterprise customers to design and deliver modern private cloud platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation. This role sits at the centre of that, leading both the technical design and delivery of solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading customer discovery sessions to understand technical and business requirements
  • Designing end-to-end VCF architectures across compute, storage and networking
  • Delivering deployments across vSphere, vSAN and NSX, ensuring production readiness
  • Supporting customers in moving from traditional infrastructure to automated, software-defined environments
  • Working alongside pre-sales on complex opportunities where deep technical input is needed

Typical projects:

  • Enterprise VCF deployments across multi-site environments
  • Data centre modernisation and migration programmes
  • Designing secure, segmented environments using NSX
  • Introducing automation and monitoring through Aria

What strong candidates tend to bring:

  • Hands-on experience with vSphere and vSAN in production environments
  • Solid understanding of NSX and network segmentation
  • Experience designing solutions, not just implementing them
  • Confidence working directly with customers and stakeholders

Skills:

  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.x – 9.x)
  • VMware vSphere
  • VMware NSX
  • VMware vSAN
  • VMware Aria (vRealize)

The Role, Purpose and Mission:

An Xtravirt Consultant understands a situation, employs an objective manner that builds trust and confidence, then applies honesty, integrity, professionalism, tools and communication skills to meet or exceed customer goals and expectations in a managed way that enables the customer to achieve success through their technical and business defined outcomes.

You’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of VMware by Broadcom Portfolio, having engaged with enterprise customers to evangelise, design and implement solutions based on the customer’s specific use case and requirements in the areas of:

  • Understanding the customer landscape and then designing or feeding into solutions that meet the customers’ underlying business objectives rather than just implementing the technical product

  • Create the best architecture designs, datacentre operations and end-to-end computing solutions appropriate for the customer
  • Consultants are pivotal to our business offering customer engagement and on occasion you may support Pre-Sales engagement for the creation of technical proposals

If you don’t tick all the boxes but feel you have a strong foundation with at least some of the products and technologies and have the aptitude and drive to grow, learn and develop with our world class team, then we want to hear from you.
