Role Description

This is a full-time Junior Backend Developer role based in London. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing backend services, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with developers to integrate user-facing elements. Additional tasks include troubleshooting and debugging applications, ensuring optimal performance, and staying up to date with emerging technologies to improve development practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of backend programming languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, Node.js, or related technologies
• Experience working with databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems
• Familiarity with API development and RESTful services
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git
• Problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset for debugging and optimizing code
• Any previous experience in fintech in payments is a plus
• Basic understanding of front-end development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience with cloud platforms or deployment tools is a plus
