Cyber Security Apprentice

As a Cyber Security Operations Apprentice, you will help protect IT, OT and cloud systems by monitoring security alerts, supporting investigations and assisting with incident response. You'll use security tools to identify risks, record findings and develop practical cyber security skills while working alongside experienced professionals.

Role

  • Help monitor security systems and look for anything unusual.

Training

This apprenticeship is the Level 3 Cyber Security Technician standard. The training element will be provided by Ginger Nut Training and consists of a blend of remote monthly one-to-one sessions and group work including webinars, online courses, videos as well as self-study. You will also complete in-house training and learn on the job from your colleagues. The apprenticeship is typically 19-20 months in duration, which takes into account the final assessment period.

The apprentice will secure a permanent role. From there, they will have the opportunity to continue developing within the company.
