Job Title: Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer

Employment Type: Contract (Outside of IR35)

We are looking for a Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer who is able to undertake a contract with an immediate start, and would be willing to be able to work on client site.

The Role

As a Controls Engineer / EC&I Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering automation and control solutions across a wide range of industries. From PLC programming to SCADA development and instrumentation integration, you’ll take projects from design all the way through to commissioning — solving complex challenges and making a real impact along the way.

What You’ll Do

• Design, configure, and program SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
• Develop PLC-based control systems and integrate with field instrumentation.
• Support projects through the full lifecycle: design, FAT, commissioning, and handover.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise existing automation systems.
• Produce accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient solutions.
