This isn’t a role for someone who wants to stay hands-on in the code.
It’s for someone who knows how high-performance software gets built — and wants to lead the people and environment that make it happen.
You’d be leading a team of experienced software engineers working on real-time, high-throughput systems. The work sits at the intersection of software and hardware — performance-critical, complex, and very much R&D-led.
You won’t be writing the code.
You’ll be shaping how it gets written.

The team is growing, and they need someone who can:
- Bring structure to how software is designed, built and delivered
- Support and develop strong technical leads
- Ensure consistency, quality and pace across multiple workstreams
This is about methodology, delivery and people — not micromanaging engineers or owning technical decisions.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing a team of high-calibre software engineers
- Working closely with technical leads who own the engineering direction
- Shaping software engineering practices, workflows and delivery standards
- Supporting the development of scalable, high-performance software across complex architectures
- Driving delivery across the full product lifecycle
- Acting as a bridge between engineering, customers and the wider business
What they’re looking for
- Experience leading high-performing software teams
- Background in embedded software, high-performance computing, or software closely coupled to hardware
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD and delivery frameworks
- Ability to take abstract problems and turn them into structured, actionable plans
- Comfortable operating in an R&D environment with evolving requirements
Experience in wireless communications is useful, but not essential — you’ll be working alongside specialists.

- Not a role for someone who wants to stay deeply technical day-to-day
- Not a role for someone who needs full control over technical direction
- Not a large corporate environment with layers of process and sign-off
