Working closely with senior security leadership and technical teams, you'll champion Secure by Design principles, influence security decisions across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments, and ensure compliance with recognised security frameworks and standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and evolve security architecture in line with organisational strategy.
  • Embed Secure by Design principles across projects and technology teams.
  • Ensure compliance with recognised standards including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NCSC guidance, GDPR and other relevant security frameworks.
  • Develop and manage the security architecture and compliance roadmap.
  • Provide expert security guidance throughout solution design, implementation and operational phases.
  • Assess security risks and recommend proportionate controls to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to influence secure decision-making.
  • Support security assurance, audits and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to incident response by providing architectural guidance where required.
  • Keep up to date with emerging threats, technologies and industry best practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience designing security architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
  • Strong knowledge of governance, risk and compliance, with experience working to frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NCSC guidance and Secure by Design principles.
  • Good understanding of networking, identity and access management, authentication, authorisation and cryptography.
  • Ability to assess security risk and recommend pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to influence teams and drive security best practice.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and committed to staying current with emerging cyber security trends and technologies.
