Apprentice Administrator
This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of departments at York College! You will be based within the well established College & Leadership Administrative Services Team but will have the opportunity to work with various other teams such as Finance, Exam Planning, and Marketing.
Role
- To provide a full range of administrative support to the College community.
- To provide effective administrative support to all service users, including the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), College & Leadership Administrative Services (CLAS) and Curriculum colleagues.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with the CLAS team and wider College community.
- Contribute to meeting team and college priorities while maintaining own professional development.
- Undertake a wide variety of work using Microsoft Office, as well as various administrative tasks.
- Respond to customers in a professional, clear and polite manner whether, in person, by email or by telephone, ensuring accurate, consistent information is given.
- Update and input into the College Information Systems to ensure records are up to date according to internal processes.
- Work flexibly including providing support to College events where appropriate e.g. Student Interview, Information and Open Evenings. Sufficient advance notice and Time in Lieu of Notice (TOIL) will be given.
Training
Off the job training will take place at York College on a day release basis and the remainder of the training will be in the workplace.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to an ongoing position with York College.
