Clinical System Support

Job summary

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Development Team to provide second line support for our electronic patient systems. With the continued drive towards electronic patient records this is a great opportunity to join our team.

You will be responsible for the triaging, actively engaged in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. You will have a good knowledge of information systems and an understanding of the software development process. You will be experienced in the use of SQL and have excellent communications and analytical skills.

Main duties of the job

Our applications are used by clinicians across the organisation to support the safe delivery of clinical care and support the administrative requirements of the organisation and have technical interfaces to other systems.

This is a key position within our team, providing technical support to our service users and colleagues within the York and Scarborough Digital Team. It is an opportunity to develop your skills working within our established and experienced Development Team.Candidates will be qualified to degree level or equivalent level or have relevant experience, have excellent customer service skills and must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent level or relevant experience
  • Willing to undergo training as necessary to undertake role

Experience and Knowledge

  • Knowledge/understanding of Information Systems
  • Understanding of software development process
Desirable
  • Knowledge/understanding of Information Systems as applied to Healthcare

Skills and abilities

Essential
  • Proficient in writing and documentation skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • SQL Skills
Desirable
  • Experience of a procedural programming language
