Frontend Engineer + DevOps/Backend Engineer
We’re hiring: Frontend Engineer + DevOps/Backend Engineer
Remote | Part-time or Full-time | Equity-first | Early-stage startup
We’re building MIRA, the internal People OS for hospitality teams.
This is not another generic HR tool. We are building a product designed for real frontline operations: communication, SOP access, scheduling visibility, policy tracking, AI support, and employee clarity in one platform. The product is mobile-first, modular, and built for high-pressure hospitality environments where simplicity matters most. That people-first, mobile-first, modular product direction is central to MIRA’s vision and PRD.
We’re looking for 2 engineers to join us at an early stage:
- Frontend Engineer
- DevOps / Backend Engineer
This role is ideal for:
- CS or Software Engineering students finishing a degree or master’s and looking for a real thesis case study
- early-career engineers who want meaningful ownership
- builders who prefer equity and real impact over a standard junior job
Why this is different
You will not be engineer #27 maintaining tickets in a big company.
You will help define how the product is built.
You will work directly with the CTO and have real ownership from the start. MIRA is being built as a modular, scalable platform with strong role-based access, multi-language support, and a clear technical architecture, so these roles are not support roles, they are core product-building roles.
We’re hiring for:
1) Frontend Engineer
You’ll help refactor and scale our React + TypeScript frontend, shape the component system, improve architecture, and build high-quality user experiences across a complex multi-role product.
2) DevOps / Backend Engineer
You’ll help design and implement our AWS infrastructure, improve backend architecture, support modularisation, and build the foundation for scalable deployment and observability.
What we value
We care less about polished CVs and more about how you think.
We want people who:
- can read a codebase and form strong opinions
- care about clean architecture and product quality
- are comfortable with ambiguity
- want to learn fast in a real startup environment
- are honest about what they know and what they still need to learn
What you get
- real ownership
- direct collaboration with the CTO
- flexible setup around university or part-time work
- thesis/case study potential
- founding-level equity conversation
- optional part-time salary depending on situation
Practical details
- Remote only
- Minimum 15–20 hours/week
- ideally CET ±4
- Business-level English required
