The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established electrical retail & wholesale business based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, who are investing heavily in process improvement, IT transformation, and automation.
They’re looking to hire a Business Process Analyst / Junior Business Analyst to support a wide range of IT-led change initiatives, helping the business work smarter through better processes, systems, and emerging technologies (including automation and AI).
This role is ideal for someone at junior–mid level who enjoys understanding how a business truly operates, mapping end-to-end processes, and driving continuous improvement across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Process Analyst, you will:
- Analyse current (AS-IS) business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with stakeholders across operations, IT, finance, and commercial teams to gather requirements
- Create clear process maps, workflows, and documentation (AS-IS / TO-BE)
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation, workflow automation, and RPA
- Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for IT and system enhancements
- Define and track KPIs and process performance metrics
- Support change management, user adoption, and training activities
- Stay up to date with BPM best practices, automation tools, and emerging technologies (AI, workflow platforms, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to tick every box — mindset and fundamentals matter most:
- Experience in a Business Process Analyst, Process Analyst, or Business Analyst role
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) principles
- Experience with process modelling techniques (BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Exposure to process automation, workflow tools, or RPA (highly desirable)
- A detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
