We’re working with a forward-thinking education Trust that’s investing heavily in its IT function — and they’re now looking for an IT Field Technician to support multiple school sites across the local area.
This role is ideal if you’ve started your IT journey and want hands-on exposure, real responsibility, and a clear route to grow your technical skills — all while doing work that genuinely matters.

£26,000 – £30,000 DOE
Monday–Friday | 8am–4pm

What you’ll be doing
• Providing 1st line and some 2nd line IT support across multiple school sites
• Setting up laptops, desktops, accounts, passwords, and peripherals
• Supporting hardware including printers, projectors, and basic networking
• Logging, updating, and managing tickets via the helpdesk system
• Assisting with software deployments and system updates
• Working closely with other technicians to keep services running smoothly
• Supporting staff and students with day-to-day IT issues
• Following data protection and health & safety standards at all times
What we’re looking for
• Minimum 6+ months’ IT experience (commercial, educational, or training-based)
• Comfortable with basic IT support (device setup, password resets, troubleshooting)
• Keen to develop skills in networks, hardware, and cloud-based systems
• Friendly, patient, and confident supporting non-technical users
• Organised, reliable, and happy to travel between sites
• Experience with Windows environments and Google Workspace
• Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (essential)
