About the Team & the Role
We are partnering with a leading global fashion retailer to find a Freelance Localisation Project Manager. In this critical role, you will manage the efficient delivery of site translations, ensuring that all international content perfectly resonates with the brand's unique voice and cultural expectations across various global markets.
Working collaboratively within the Post Production and broader Studios Team, you will act as the linchpin between internal stakeholders and external translation agencies. You will ensure high-quality, on-brand translations across various digital channels, driving the success of global product copy and creative content in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
What You Will Do
Translation & Transcreation Management
- Support all translation and transcreation business streams across the website and various digital channels.
- Manage day-to-day content selection for transcreation and carefully review English back-translations.
- Sense-check English-language content to ensure it is fully optimized for international markets and aligns with the brand's tone of voice.
Stakeholder & Agency Collaboration
- Liaise closely with external translation agencies, overseeing the global translation of product copy and creative content.
- Maintain seamless communication with external partners to ensure high-quality, consistently on-brand deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams, business stakeholders, and project managers.
Operations & Quality Assurance
- Oversee Business As Usual (BAU) workstreams, set clear deadlines, and proactively troubleshoot any arising issues.
- Upload documents to CAT tool systems, review completed work prior to final delivery, and ensure absolute consistency and accuracy.
- Support the continuous editing and uploading of glossaries and block list terms.
What You Bring to the Table
- Localisation Expertise: Previous proven experience operating as a localisation or translation project manager, ideally within the fashion or retail ecommerce industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience using CAT tools and modern project management software (such as Smartling and Monday.com).
- Cultural & Industry Insight: A strong, innate understanding of fashion, global culture, and localized tone of voice (additional spoken languages, preferably French or German, are highly beneficial).
- Dynamic Work Ethic: Exceptional multitasking abilities with a proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
