Telecomms/ICT Apprentice
This apprenticeship focuses on supporting a Network Operations Centre (NOC) through a blend of administrative, operational, and customer‐facing responsibilities. The role involves maintaining accurate reporting and dashboards, assisting with data analysis, and helping improve operational efficiency across the Network Operations team.
Role
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the NOC management team and other internal groups
- Provide reporting and analytics to management team
- Ensure data integrity of reports and dashboards
- Help drive operational efficiencies across the Network
- Operations team and wider business through simplifying and presenting our data effectively
- Responding to incoming telephone & Email requests from Customers, Zayo support teams and 3rd party teams
- Raising Trouble Tickets (Training will be provided)
- Ensuring Trouble Tickets are assigned to a relevant support team
- Providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and external customers on the progress of faults
- Providing support to other members of the Operations team as required
- Support with initial fault Triage and Investigation
Arranging and coordinating access to Zayo & 3rd party sites - Specialising in maintenance activities- Event creation, service deconfliction and customer notifications
Training
To meet the requirements of the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship programme you will need to spend 6 hours a week of your time undertaking off-the-job learning, which will include:
- Formal training, including online learning and internal learning events
- 1-2-1s with your coach and line manager
- Observing and shadowing colleagues
- Writing up learning reflections for your portfolio
