As we scale, we're expanding ourRisk Services Departmentand looking for a passionate, drivenFinancial Crime Analyst to help us stay ahead in the fight against financial crime.
RequirementsA qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 3-7 years PQE, ideally trained at a leading law firm or in-house within fintech or financial services.
Strong knowledge of financial regulation, commercial law, and data protection.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
A commercial mindset - balancing legal risk with business opportunity.
The ability to work autonomously and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
Enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and modern financial products.
Scope of dutiesDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including technology supply contracts, SaaS and licensing agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and partnership deals.
Maintain a contract management process and help streamline contract templates and playbooks.
Provide legal guidance on UK and EU regulatory frameworks, including FCA regulations, PSD2, e-money, AML.
Partner with Compliance and Product teams to ensure products and services are developed and launched in compliance with applicable law.
Support the Product and Technology teams on customer-facing terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with data protection, FCA, and EU payments law requirements where applicable.
Advise the People team on UK employment law matters, including drafting and updating employment contracts, consultancy agreements, policies, and handbooks.
Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination processes.
Support the Legal and Governance Director on corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder meetings, statutory filings, and group structure management.
Assist in drafting and maintaining internal policies and governance frameworks.
Provide practical advice on data protection (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018), privacy notices, and data processing arrangements.
Provide day-to-day legal advice across all business functions, ensuring decisions are legally sound and commercially viable.
Identify and mitigate key legal risks across business operations.
Advise on regulatory change, horizon scanning, and interactions with regulators.
Support internal training and awareness on legal, regulatory, and compliance topics.
Manage and advise on pre-litigation disputes, debt recovery, and customer complaints with minimal external counsel involvement.
