Technical Specialist

Location: Hybrid - WFH/London (some client-facing work in the City)
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 + car/travel allowance (DOE)

About the Role

I'm working with one of the UK's leading technology solutions providers who deliver integrated security and smart infrastructure projects that make environments safer, more efficient, and better connected.

They're now looking for a Technical Specialist (Safety & Security) - a key role sitting within their professional services division. You'll be the technical authority behind the design and delivery of enterprise-grade systems, ensuring every solution meets the highest standards of integration, performance, and innovation.

If you're a technically strong engineer, consultant, or senior-level specialist looking to take that next step into a client-facing, design-focused role - this is an opportunity to join a business that genuinely invests in its people and supports long-term career progression.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Acting as technical design authority across a range of enterprise security projects.

  • Supporting sales teams with solution design, producing detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and configuration templates.

  • Providing third-line technical support and consultancy across integrated systems.

  • Working directly with clients to understand challenges and develop tailored solutions.

  • Acting as the key technical interface with vendors and partners across the safety and security portfolio.

  • Mentoring and supporting the wider engineering team, delivering training and knowledge sessions.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years' experience in designing or supporting complex, integrated security systems.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Gallagher, Lenel, Bosch, Avigilon, or Hikvision.

  • Excellent knowledge of IP networking and routing (CCNA-level understanding or equivalent).

  • Experience developing technical documentation and design packs.

  • A collaborative approach with strong communication and client-facing skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and ability to gain relevant security clearances (DBS / NPPV3).

Why This Role

This is a chance to step into a role that offers:

  • Full ownership of technical design and system architecture.

  • Hybrid working with flexibility to manage your own schedule.

  • A competitive salary up to £60,000 + car/travel allowance.

  • Ongoing vendor training and professional development.

  • The opportunity to work on enterprise-grade, mission-critical systems across London and the South East.

If you're ready to take your technical career to the next level in a dynamic, collaborative environment - I'd love to talk.
