Web Developer (Shopify Plus) London Remote

We are partnering with a fast-growing consumer beauty brand group to hire a commercially-minded Web Developer who will take full ownership of their Shopify Plus ecommerce estate across a portfolio of three high-growth DTC brands. This is a rare opportunity to join a scaling business at a critical inflection point - moving ecommerce development in-house for the first time, giving you genuine ownership of the technical roadmap and direct influence over digital performance across the portfolio.

The Role

You will become the internal technical authority for three Shopify Plus storefronts, managing the transition away from an external agency model and driving continuous improvement across conversion, performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities includ e:

• Owning Shopify Plus development across all three brands end-to-end
• Building and optimising conversion-focused, high-performance storefronts
• Developing custom functionality using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS
• Improving site speed, Core Web Vitals and technical SEO
• Delivering new features, landing pages and campaign builds at pace
• Managing third-party apps, integrations and platform architecture
• Collaborating with Ecommerce, Performance Marketing, CRM and Brand teams
• Supporting international expansion and multi-store growth
• Leveraging AI tools and automation to improve workflows and efficiency

What We're Looking For

We need someone who understands that great ecommerce development goes beyond writing clean code - it's about commercial outcomes, customer experience and enabling growth.

You will likely bring:

• Strong hands-on Shopify Plus experience - this is non-negotiable and candidates without it will not be considered
• Solid front-end skills across Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS
• Experience with Shopify APIs, custom functionality and third-party integrations
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how development decisions affect conversion and revenue
• Confidence using AI tools in your day-to-day development workflow
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• A self-starter mindset with a track record of ownership in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments

Familiarity with headless or custom Shopify front-end approaches is advantageous. Experience managing an in-house transition from an agency model is a bonus.
