We’re working with an established engineering business that is looking to add an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to its engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who is confident using Altium Designer and enjoys working on the detailed layout and development of electronic products from concept through to manufacture. Experience working with RF electronics would be highly desirable, as the company operates within the RF sector.

About the Role
- Designing and laying out PCBs using Altium Designer
- Producing PCB layouts from schematics and engineering requirements
- Component placement and routing, ensuring designs meet performance and manufacturing requirements
- Working closely with Electronics Engineers to develop and optimise PCB layouts
- Considering signal integrity, EMC and RF design requirements where applicable
- Creating and maintaining PCB design documentation and libraries
- Supporting design reviews and implementing improvements where required
- Preparing designs for manufacture and working with manufacturing teams to resolve PCB-related issues
- Supporting prototype builds, testing and design iterations
- Ensuring designs meet relevant quality, reliability and EMC requirements
- Proven experience in PCB Layout / PCB Design within an electronics engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of Altium Designer for layout
- Experience with schematic capture, component placement and PCB routing
- Good understanding of PCB design for manufacture and assembly
- Experience working from engineering schematics and specifications
- An understanding of EMC, signal integrity and PCB design considerations
- RF experience would be highly desirable, particularly within an electronics or high-frequency environment
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to PCB layout
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Electronics Engineers and other departments
