Job Title: Senior Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working - 3 Days On-Site Per Week)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus & Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Zenovo are looking for an Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join their client in Bristol, focusing on New Product Development as well as updating and maintaining & innovating existing systems.
The ideal candidate will enjoy getting to the root of complex technical problems, thinking creatively and working across both hardware and embedded software, making this an interesting and technically demanding role.

Job Responsibilities:
- Be involved in the design and development of electronic systems for new and existing products.
- Develop schematics, PCB layouts, prototypes, and engineering test fixtures.
- Support design build, testing, validation, and verification, identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware at board and system level, contributing to root-cause analysis and design improvements.
- Support existing products through fault-finding, testing, performance improvements, redesign, and component changes.
- Support component obsolescence activities, including identifying and validating suitable replacement parts.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and engineering developments to support product improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and management teams
- 5+ years' commercial experience in electronics engineering, electronic product development, or a similar design-focused role.
- Strong practical experience in electronics design, troubleshooting, fault-finding, and root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on engineering mindset with experience being involved in taking electronic designs from concept and prototype through testing, validation, and production.
- Confident using electronic laboratory equipment for development, debugging, measurement, and design verification.
- Good understanding of embedded systems and the interaction between hardware and software; embedded C experience would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working across hardware and software boundaries and understanding how changes in one area can affect overall system performance.
- Experience working with PCB-based electronic products and an understanding of design for manufacture, reliability, and production
