What you will do
You will join as a Technical Project Manager responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of applications and operating systems across a large, diverse and data-rich environment. This is a role that blends technical understanding with structured project management, ensuring applications and devices remain secure, compliant and performant across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
You will be accountable for analysing and interpreting large volumes of application and compliance data, producing clear, actionable plans, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure delivery within defined SLAs.
While there is a technical component, this is primarily a governance and coordination role, owning the process, producing plans, identifying gaps and managing remediation activity through others.
You will:
- Oversee and manage a wide portfolio of applications and OS updates across multiple platforms
- Review large datasets to identify compliance gaps, exceptions and priorities
- Plan, test and deploy updates and applications across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android
- Maintain the global application catalogue, ensuring documentation, version control and compliance reporting are accurate and current
- Operate and optimise Workspace ONE, with strong knowledge of Intune/Autopilot and SCCM/MECM
- Develop and maintain the Application Policy and Governance framework, defining standards for classification, lifecycle and deployment
- Manage update rings, release cycles and rollout schedules, ensuring appropriate pilots, rollback options and communications are in place
- Partner with Cyber and Security teams on vulnerability monitoring and remediation planning
- Lead on End User Compute penetration testing, coordinating scope, scheduling and reporting
- Produce structured plans, reports and dashboards that provide clear visibility of performance, compliance and risk
- Maintain application licensing and asset registers, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with governance requirements
What you will bring
You will bring a technical project management mindset, comfortable working across large datasets, multiple platforms and complex governance frameworks. You’ll be equally adept at producing structured plans and reports as you are at engaging with technical leads and stakeholders to drive delivery.
Essential experience and skills:
- Proven experience managing large-scale application and OS environments with a strong focus on data, compliance and planning
- Background in technical project management or similar coordination-focused roles within IT, infrastructure or end-user computing
- Strong working knowledge of Workspace ONE, Intune/Autopilot and SCCM/MECM
- Experience of policy and compliance management, reporting and documentation
- Understanding of application lifecycle and OS update processes
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned change, release and incident management
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into structured, actionable plans
- Basic understanding of automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, REST)
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and report writing skills
- Valid SC clearance (able to transfer to Zero Plus)
Desirable:
- Experience within a government or regulated environment
- Prince2 or equivalent project management certification
