Principal Product Designer - AI Startup - London

£150k-£170k base + equity

We’re partnering with one of the most exciting high-growth Series B AI companies building AI-powered productivity software, now moving decisively into SaaS and enterprise. The business has grown ARR by $20M+ in the last 12 months, is ~70 people, and is backed by top-tier global investors.

They’re hiring a Lead / Principal Product Designer to help shape the product as it scales - a senior, high-ownership role with a clear path to Head of Design or stay as a Principal IC, depending on the individual.

You’ll take a strong existing design foundation and apply it to complex AI-powered product flows, ensuring every interaction feels premium and trustworthy. You’ll own discovery and research for your areas - speaking directly with users, identifying friction, and prototyping solutions that solve real problems.

Experience needed

• Operating at the Staff / Lead / Principal level, owning core product areas end-to-end
• Experience shipping AI-led products (ideal but not essential)
• Background in early-stage startups or well-known product/design-led scaleups
• Experience mentoring and coaching other designers while remaining hands-on
