The mission

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll own the infrastructure and tooling that power our platform. You'll help keep our systems fast, reliable, and scalable as we onboard major customers. Your work will remove friction for developers, increase delivery speed, improve reliability for clients, and shape how our engineering team builds and ships software.

What you'll do

Within your first month

  • Understand our product, infrastructure, and delivery workflows
  • Identify pain points and opportunities in our current platform
  • Support small infrastructure and deployment changes

Within your first three months

  • Collaborate on building CI/CD pipelines
  • Support the team with monitoring and alerting
  • Contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions

Within the first six months

  • Standardise our monitoring and observability dashboards
  • Optimise cloud costs as we continue to scale
  • Improve the developer experience and internal tooling
  • Help engineers self-serve common operational task

Must-have

  • Experienced with cloud-native systems in AWS
  • Comfortable managing infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.)
  • Familiar with Docker and containerised workloads
  • Proficient with Git
  • Confident in networking fundamentals
  • On board with DevOps and Continuous Delivery principles
  • Good communicator in English, both when speaking and listening
  • Easy to work with and collaborative
  • Familiar with cloud security best practices

Nice to have

  • Have working knowledge of JavaScript and/or Typescript
  • Understand how JavaScript packages and package managers work
  • Have relational database administration skills, preferably Postgres
  • Have experience with CI/CD tooling and building pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc)
  • Familiar with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, etc)
  • Willing to create or update your LinkedIn account to reflect your employment with Zeus Labs
