About The Role.
We at Zilch deeply care about building fantastic products. Products that simplify the lives of our customers and make them happy. To this end, we expect our Product Designers to have 360 degree view of the customer experience. Our Product Designers will be expected to lead on and own the end to end design process from discovery to delivery.You'll be in the Payments team ensuring users have a fantastic experience on all payment related touch points - from visibility of purchases, upcoming instalments to how payments are paid over a period of time. You will be working on the highest impact areas of the product with the opportunity to improve and innovate on the most critical areas.
Day To Day Responsibilities.
- Regularly conducting user research and sharing findings to help continuously optimise the existing product and feed into the discovery of new features.
- Designing products in a way that's clean, simple and easy to understand for users - owning the process from high level wire frames to end to end flows across scenarios to developing prototypes.
- Having a good understanding of the key metrics of the area, projects/ initiatives to constantly assess and improve on the overall product experience and having a data led approach to product design.
- Partnering with product managers, engineers and data team members to continuously improve the product experience, solving customers' problems whilst addressing the goals of the business.
- Understanding and breaking down complex features/ requirements into high level wire frame product flows/ touch points.
- Identifying conversion optimisation opportunities by leveraging quantitative, qualitative data and experimentation process.
- Embedding yourself within the design team, participating in reviews, providing constructive feedback and advocating for user centred designs.
- Setting and championing design systems ensuring users experience high quality designs and have a consistent experience across the app.
- Regularly explore and research competitors and leading products/ apps in the industry to stay abreast with what's new, fresh and innovative.
What We're Looking For.
- Experience designing world class products for a consumer facing native app, preferably in the fintech space.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and thrive off the energy of rapid iteration and tight timelines.
- Curiosity and interest to understand deeply how the product works to design in a way that's impactful.
- Strong communication skills to defend product design decisions made backed by quantitative and qualitative data, not opinions.
- Good understanding of design principles and best practices from the best in the industry and usage of design software (Figma).
- Ability to plan and conduct user research (user interviews, surveys, usability testing) to uncover customer problems and validate design decisions.
- Someone who is diligent, conscientious, driven, motivated and enjoys challenging problems.
- Someone who deeply cares about the user experience and has a clean visual design sense.
