Systems Architect

• Rate : £480/day (Outside IR35)
• Location : Hybrid – 1–2 days per week onsite near Liverpool Street
• Length : 3-month contract with strong potential to extend

We’re partnering with a fast-moving fintech startup building a next-gen neobank to hire a Contract Solutions Architect for an initial 3-month engagement.

They’re a tight-knit team (under 10 people), and need someone who can design scalable microservice architectures and guide technical direction across a modern, cloud- stack.

The Role

You’ll be working directly with the CTO and engineers to:

• Design and oversee microservices architecture for a new digital banking platform
• Lead end-to-end solution design with an eye on performance, scalability, and simplicity
• Collaborate with product and engineering in a lean, agile environment
• Be hands-on when needed—this is not just a paper architect role

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in fintech or agency/consulting environments
• Strong background in designing microservice-based systems
• Comfortable working in small, highly collaborative teams
• Proficiency with 1 or more modern backend : Kotlin, Python, Java, Rust, Go
• Bonus: experience with payments, digital banking, or financial infrastructure
