The Role

Were looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our internal technology team. Youll be responsible for providing hands-on support, managing incidents through our ticketing platform (Freshservice), and maintaining key systems such as Microsoft 365, and endpoint devices.

Youll work closely with the wider IT function on projects, system improvements, and user training to enhance productivity and reliability across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal users across Windows and macOS devices.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets via Freshservice, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Support and maintain Mimecast for email management, archiving, and security.
  • Perform user onboarding/offboarding processes including account provisioning and asset management.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records within Freshservice.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and VPN issues in a hybrid environment.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues on system upgrades, patch management, and security initiatives.
  • Document IT processes, FAQs, and guides to support continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role within a Microsoft environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 administration, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Freshservice or similar ITSM tools.
  • Experience supporting Mimecast or other email security systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Desirable Skills
  • Exposure to Intune or other device management tools.
  • Scripting or automation (PowerShell) for routine tasks.
