CYBER SECURITY ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
£60,000 basic + £6,000 car allowance + double OTE
£150,000 GP target
I’m hiring a new business Cyber Account Director for one of my customers, focused specifically around managed security services, SOC, MDR/XDR, threat detection and wider cyber-led conversations into mid-market and enterprise customers.
The business is a global organisation with over 50,000 employees, but the cyber arm has that embryonic, high-growth feel where the proposition is being invested in properly, the leadership is in place, and the commercial team is now being built around the opportunity.
That is what makes this interesting.
You get the feel of joining something early, where there is still room to build pipeline, shape customer conversations, influence growth and become a key part of the cyber sales function, but with the backing, brand, infrastructure and customer base of a much larger organisation behind you.
They already have an in-house 24/7 SOC with over 120 people in the team, alongside clear investment into cyber capability and partnerships, with headcount signed off specifically to grow managed security revenues.
The role is heavily new business focused, so they need someone who is comfortable opening doors, building a self-generated pipeline, creating demand and running sales cycles from first conversation through to close.
Over time, there is also access to a large existing customer base of over 3,000 customers, although the immediate focus is on someone who can create new opportunities, land new logos and help build momentum around the cyber proposition.
I’m looking to speak with people who:
• Have sold managed SOC, MDR, XDR or wider cyber services for at least 3 years
• Come from an MSSP, MSP, reseller, VAR or cyber vendor
• Are comfortable generating new business
• Have a track record of landing new logos
• Can build and manage their own pipeline
• Are credible in front of technical and security-led stakeholders
You will already understand cyber services and be comfortable leading customer conversations around managed security, threat detection, MDR/XDR, SOC and cyber resilience.
