Infrastructure Solutions Architect

We are recruiting for an experienced enterprise Solutions Architect with strong on-premise infrastructure experience and government exposure, for a 6-month initial contract supporting a major UK Government department on a data warehouse optimisation project.

This is a mostly hands off (some hands on) design and assurance role, working with the Lead Solutions Architect and their team of architects to work through and advise on key defined tasks.

Essential skills and experience:

• Current or ability to be SC cleared
• Linux Scripting Experience
• Any exposure to Oracle Database Platforms in a large-scale environment
• Experience working with Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems in a mixed environment
• Experience with on premise hosting and networking
• Previous Government Department working experience
• Kerberos Security (Including Kerberos File Security)

Desirable Skills and experience:

• Any Nutanix Experience
• Azure AVS, IaaS
• Experience of building and designing solutions with RedHat platforms
• Windows Powershell programming experience
• Working in an AGILE environment
• Working with COTS products
• Java Encryption technologies (eg Bouncy Castle)
• SPLUNK dashboards and integration
• Constrained and Unconstrained Delegation with Active Directory
