Principal KDB+/Q Engineer - 3 months - Oct 26 Start - £530/day Inside IR35 (paid to the Umbrella) - Hybrid/UK

Key Requirements

• 15+ years' extensive KDB+/q experience, including design and development of large-scale KDB+ systems and infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, modern software development practices and SDLC.
• Strong experience developing within Unix/Linux environments, with expertise in high-performance, high-throughput systems.
• Proven experience with Real Time streaming, time-series and market data platforms, including low-latency systems and tick data capture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable global technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale KDB+/q systems and infrastructure supporting Real Time, high-throughput data processing.
• Build and optimise Real Time streaming and time-series data platforms for business-critical applications.
• Develop low-latency solutions for market data, algorithmic trading, order/execution data and tick data capture.
• Collaborate with global technology and business teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Provide regional business-hours coverage, supporting platform reliability and effective delivery across distributed teams.
