SAP BODS Data Migration Consultant (I2O/Procurement) - €500 per day - Until April 2027 - Remote
We're looking for an SAP BODS Data Migration Consultant with strong I2O (including WM/EWM) and Procurement experience to join a client upgrading its SAP ECC data migration toolset from DataPack 7 to DataPack 8. The upgrade is needed to keep the client on a supported migration framework ahead of future S/4HANA readiness work. You'll redevelop the existing BODS jobs and data flows across master data and transactional/finance objects. You'll then take them through testing and cutover, finishing with a short hypercare period. The work is milestone based rather than BAU support. You'll work closely with the client's data migration and functional teams, so strong collaboration skills are key.
Responsibilities:
- Redevelop impacted BODS jobs and data flows to align with DataPack 8 object structures, validation rules and load sequencing
- Build extraction logic, staging structures and BODS transformations from signed-off mapping rules, and update the fine concept as development progresses
- Run unit testing, Mock 0 prep and mass data load testing, fixing defects along the way
- Support Mock 1, Mock 2 and business validation cycles through to Q-Gate sign-off and final reconciliation
- Help define and execute the cutover plan, including the production load of in-scope ECC objects and post go-live hypercare
Requirements:
- Strong SAP BODS ETL development experience on SAP data migration projects
- Must have I2O experience, including WM/EWM
- Strong Procurement data/object experience
- Experience across the full migration life cycle: mocks, reconciliation, cutover and hypercare
- Able to collaborate effectively with data migration and functional teams and business data owners
