Salesforce Technical Lead

Salesforce Technical Architect (Hands-On)

Location: London (2 days onsite)

Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)

The Role

This is a hands-on Technical Architect position within a large-scale enterprise transformation programme in a highly competitive, customer-focused industry. You will be actively involved in both architecture and development, designing and building scalable, secure Salesforce solutions across critical business systems.

You will work with cutting-edge Salesforce technologies across Sales, Service, Experience, and Automotive Cloud, playing a key role in shaping technical direction while remaining close to the code. This role offers real impact across integrations, platform performance, and long-term architecture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design and hands-on development of Salesforce solutions
  • Act as the bridge between business requirements and technical delivery
  • Remain actively involved in coding (Apex, LWC, Lightning) on a day-to-day basis
  • Define and enforce development and architecture best practices
  • Design and implement complex integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, third-party systems)
  • Own data modelling, data quality, and migration activities
  • Drive CI/CD processes using Salesforce DX, Jenkins, and related tools
  • Deliver and support multiple Experience Cloud implementations
  • Implement secure and scalable access models (roles, profiles, sharing rules)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform

Your Profile

  • Proven experience as a hands-on Salesforce Technical Architect (not purely governance/oversight)
  • Strong track record of coding in Apex, LWC, and Lightning frameworks
  • Extensive experience across Sales, Service, Experience, and Automotive Cloud
  • Delivered multiple Experience Cloud projects (5+ implementations)
  • Strong expertise in integrations, APIs, and asynchronous processing
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and relational database design
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Salesforce DX, Jenkins)
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, customization, and security
  • Comfortable leading teams while staying technically involved
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities
