Exciting opportunities in a growing team
Role
cellXica is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Product Owner & Release Manager to help shape, coordinate, and deliver next-generation private mobile network and radio communication products. Working closely with engineering, QA, operations, and commercial stakeholders, you will own both the product lifecycle and release management process, ensuring products are delivered on time, meet customer requirements, and align with business objectives.
This role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on coordination of software, firmware, and hardware release activities across multiple development streams. You will act as a central point between engineering teams, customers, and leadership to ensure smooth planning, testing, release readiness, and deployment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in telecommunications, wireless networking, embedded systems, or industrial technology environments who enjoys working in a highly technical and collaborative organisation.

- Translate customer and market requirements into clear product specifications, epics, and user stories.
- Work closely with software, hardware, RF, FPGA, and systems engineering teams throughout development cycles.
- Own and prioritise the product backlog within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Engage with customers, integrators, and commercial partners to understand operational requirements and market trends.

- Analyse competitor products, emerging technologies, and industry developments within private LTE/5G and critical communications sectors.
- Support customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and technical workshops.
- Collaborate with technical writers and marketing teams to produce product documentation and customer-facing materials.
- Ensure product decisions align with commercial objectives, customer outcomes, and technical feasibility.
- Track product performance, customer feedback, and enhancement opportunities post-deployment.
Release Management
- Own and coordinate end-to-end release management activities across software, firmware, and hardware products.
- Develop and maintain release schedules, deployment plans, and release documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional release readiness activities with engineering, QA, support, and operations teams.
- Ensure release quality through structured testing, validation, risk assessment, and sign-off processes.
- Manage version control, release tracking, and change management processes.
- Identify release risks, dependencies, and blockers, ensuring proactive mitigation and communication.
- Coordinate customer delivery timelines, deployment windows, and release communications.
- Drive continuous improvement in release governance, deployment processes, and operational efficiency.
- Support incident reviews, post-release analysis, and lessons learned activities.
