Technical / Data Analyst - Transaction Monitoring VP

6-month contract

Up to £750 per day (via Umbrella)

cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Technical / Data Analyst Transaction Monitoring VP to work with them on a 6-month contract.

The responsibilities will include:

· Define and deliver the FinCrime technology roadmap aligned to regulatory and business needs

· Represent IT FinCrime in governance and regulatory forums

· Identify and manage emerging FinCrime tech risks and opportunities

· Lead delivery of complex FinCrime projects with compliant, timely execution

· Provide senior reporting on status, risks, and mitigations

· Embed risk management across technical initiatives

· Support BAU (3LoD) for key Transaction Monitoring systems

· Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes

· Oversee upgrades, regression testing, and vendor assessments (RFPs/PoCs)

· Translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions with Compliance and Operations

· Act as IT liaison across global stakeholders to ensure delivery alignment

· Mentor junior staff and promote continuous learning and best practices

The successful candidate will have:

· FinCrime SME: Hands-on experience with Transaction Monitoring systems (e.g., Actimize SAM), data warehouses, automated deployments, and SDLC/change cycles.

· Infrastructure/Data SME: Strong SQL, ETL/data analysis skills, plus Linux scripting and OS experience.

· Experience: 8-10 years in IT (financial services), including 3-5 years in financial crime/compliance; proven delivery of complex projects in regulated environments and BAU support for critical systems.

· Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or related field; certifications preferred (CAMS, PMP, ITIL).
