DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineer (All Levels) - UK Wide

We work with a range of UK employers actively hiring across these roles

Job Description:

UK-Based (On-Site, Hybrid or Remote)

About the Roles

We're looking for experienced DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineers at all levels—from DevOps Engineer and Cloud Engineer through to Senior, Lead, Site Reliability Engineer and Cloud Architect positions—for upcoming roles across cloud infrastructure, internal platforms, reliability and developer productivity. These are hands-on engineering roles where you'll build and operate the systems that everything else runs on.

You'll work across the full platform lifecycle—from infrastructure design and provisioning through to CI/CD, observability, incident response and cost optimisation. The role suits someone who pairs strong infrastructure-as-code discipline with a genuine automation-first mindset and a real interest in making other engineers faster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, provision and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP and / or Azure
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely and frequently
  • Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation or equivalent) and the workflows around it
  • Operate Kubernetes clusters and supporting platform services
  • Implement observability—metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and reliability improvements
  • Drive cloud cost optimisation and capacity planning
  • Implement security hardening, secret management and compliance controls
  • Partner with development teams to improve developer experience and reduce friction
  • (For Senior/Lead) Set platform strategy, mentor engineers, lead architecture decisions

What You'll Bring

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on production experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)—multi-cloud welcome
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation or equivalent)
  • Kubernetes in production—deployment, scaling, networking, troubleshooting
  • CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD or equivalent)
  • Observability stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, OpenTelemetry, New Relic)
  • Scripting and automation in Bash, Python or Go
  • Linux fundamentals, networking basics and cloud security concepts
  • Familiarity with secret management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, KMS) and policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel) is a plus

Engineering & Soft Skills:

  • Automation-first mindset—if you've done it twice, automate it
  • Operational discipline—calm under pressure, structured during incidents
  • Strong collaboration with development teams; treats developer experience as a first-class product
  • Comfortable explaining infrastructure to non-infrastructure audiences
  • Curiosity about reliability, performance and cost trade-offs
  • Pragmatic—balances perfect with shippable

Domain Flexibility:

  • Roles span SaaS, fintech, data platforms, e-commerce, healthtech, public sector and B2B products
  • Background in any of these is welcomed; appetite to learn an adjacent platform context valued just as much

Experience Level:

  • Minimum 3+ years for DevOps / Cloud Engineer, 5+ for Senior, 8+ for Lead / Principal / Cloud Architect
  • Background in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure
  • Examples of platforms, pipelines or reliability work you've owned end-to-end in production

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on platforms where reliability, speed and cost genuinely move the business
  • Exposure to modern cloud-native tooling, IaC, container orchestration and observability stacks
  • Roles at the level you're ready for—we're hiring across the IC platform spectrum
  • A collaborative environment where automation and operational rigour are both valued
  • Clear scope to develop specialist depth (security, reliability, cost, developer experience) or stay broad
  • Flexible working arrangements (on-site, hybrid or remote) and supportive team culture
