Enterprise Technology Architect
Enterprise Technology Architect
Are you someone who thrives on shaping long-term technology direction while staying grounded in practical delivery? This role offers the chance to steer enterprise-wide architecture across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and end user computing, ensuring platforms are robust, efficient, and ready for the future.
As an Enterprise Technology Architect, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to define strategy, assure major design decisions, and guide the evolution of hybrid environments. You'll create clear roadmaps, influence investment choices, and champion architectural standards that enable both stability and transformation.
What you'll be doing
- Setting the strategic direction for enterprise infrastructure, aligned with major transformation goals and modern trends such as hybrid cloud and automation.
- Leading the design of scalable, resilient infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring strong performance and cost-efficiency.
- Working with senior leaders to uncover opportunities for innovation and improvements across core technology domains.
- Governing architectural principles and ensuring alignment with security, sustainability, and performance expectations.
- Encouraging the adoption of shared platforms, services, and reusable patterns to streamline delivery.
- Providing architectural oversight through review boards and design authorities to maintain coherence across initiatives.
What you'll bring
- Deep cloud capability, particularly with Microsoft Azure, plus exposure to other major platforms such as AWS. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling is important.
- A strong background in enterprise architecture, with a track record of shaping strategy and delivering complex solutions.
- Broad infrastructure knowledge spanning compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and containerisation.
- Experience operating in large or highly complex organisations; regulated industry exposure is beneficial but not essential.
- A practical, outcomes-driven approach with the ability to balance strategy with hands-on understanding.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Professional, or similar; TOGAF Level 2 is advantageous. A degree in technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
If you're motivated by influencing major technology decisions and building resilient, future-ready platforms, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
