Senior Data Consultant - London

Our client, a fast-growing, innovative company based in London is seeking a Senior Data Consultant to lead key client accounts and deliver high-impact data transformation projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from proposal development to delivery, in collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with natural curiosity, a proactive approach, and a drive to get things done, both personally and by enabling others.

You will be a catalyst for progress, turning complex challenges into clear solutions and embedding best practices across workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Translate client vision and strategy into actionable data solutions, managing expectations and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Strategic Collaboration: Support end-to-end data strategy projects, producing executive level deliverables such as governance frameworks, target operating models, and organizational design.
• Data & Digital Delivery: Drive data transformation initiatives, including platform development and capabilities to unlock high-value use cases.
• Analytics & BI Delivery: Shape Analytics and BI roadmaps, converting business needs into scalable insights and reporting solutions.
• Change Management: Embed new ways of working and ensure solutions land successfully across client organizations.
• Agile Facilitation: Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, balancing long-term planning with immediate needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and escalate risks, providing mitigation strategies and maintaining open dialogue with stakeholders.
• New Business Development: Contribute to proposals and client responses to support business growth.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Experience consulting in digital transformation, data engineering, big data, or API projects, ideally in cloud environments and a consultancy setting.
• Strong understanding of data architectures, including Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Delta Processing.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and adapting them to project needs.
• Experience writing Jira tickets, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Track record in developing proposals or responding to RFPs.
• Interest in learning software design patterns and technologies in data engineering and data science.

This role offers hybrid working with two days per week on site required at our clients London based office.
