Quality Engineer (Fareham)

QA Engineer | Onsite | Fareham, Hampshire | Full-time | Manual Testing | Flutter & Web | £30,000 – £40,000

We’ve partnered with a fast-growing tech company in Fareham who are on the lookout for a Junior or Mid-Level QA Engineer to join their in-house QA and Engineering team. You’ll be responsible for testing across a variety of platforms including mobile (Flutter), web, and internal tools.

This is a hands-on manual QA role with the opportunity to grow into test automation or software development if desired. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and designers in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual QA testing across mobile apps, web applications, and internal tools
• Work closely with developers and designers to understand feature requirements and edge cases
• Create, maintain, and execute clear test cases
• Identify, log, and track bugs with consistency and clarity
• Support release testing, regression testing, and smoke testing
• Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and documentation
• (Optional) Begin implementing test automation if desired
• (Optional) Support UAT or assist in customer feedback triage

Skills & Experience Required:

• Passion for high-quality software and a detail-oriented mindset
• Experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organised with a proactive and collaborative approach
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Postman, Cypress, or Playwright
• Bonus: Interest in development or automation (Dart, Python, JavaScript)
• Bonus: Knowledge of Git/GitHub, REST APIs, accessibility testing, or agile/CI/CD environments
• Bonus: Experience testing Flutter apps
