Integration Engineer

Integration Engineer (Mid-Level & Senior)

Enterprise SaaS Platform | Central Manchester | Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Location

Central Manchester (Hybrid working – 2 days per week onsite)

Salary & Level

  • Mid-Level Integration Engineer: £50,000 – £55,000
  • Senior Integration Engineer: Up to £70,000 + 10% bonus

Hiring Plan

Two roles available. The hiring manager is open to appointing one Mid-Level and one Senior Integration Engineer as part of a growing integration and platform engineering function.

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, enterprise-scale SaaS business undergoing a significant period of platform growth and modernisation. Integrations sit at the heart of their product ecosystem, enabling high-volume data flows between internal platforms, customers, and third-party partners.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a business where integration engineering is viewed as a strategic capability rather than a support function. The team is expanding to meet increasing demand, improve scalability, and raise engineering standards across a complex, distributed technology estate.

The role offers strong technical challenge, long-term stability, and clear progression, whether you are an experienced Mid-Level engineer ready to step up or a Senior engineer looking to take ownership of enterprise-grade integrations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable integration solutions
  • Building and supporting APIs and event-driven integrations
  • Working closely with Product, Architecture, QA and Platform teams
  • Ensuring integrations are secure, performant, and production-ready
  • Supporting live integrations operating at enterprise scale
  • For Senior hires: mentoring engineers, influencing design decisions, and setting best practice

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience building integrations using modern integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft or similar)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, messaging, and integration patterns
  • Experience with data transformation (JSON, XML, flat files)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern SDLC practices
  • Experience working in Agile engineering teams

Senior-level candidates will bring deeper architectural experience, confidence owning complex integrations end-to-end, and the ability to guide others technically.

Why Join

  • Enterprise-scale SaaS platform with real-world complexity
  • Clear investment in engineering and integration capability
  • Hybrid working with a collaborative Manchester-based team
  • Strong salary, bonus (Senior), and long-term progression
  • A role where your work directly impacts platform reliability and growth
