This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity inside a large-scale enterprise SaaS business delivering mission-critical, cloud-native products used at serious scale across the UK.

You will take ownership of a high-profile digital platform that processes significant daily transactional volume and underpins core commercial operations. The product is central to the organisation’s long-term modernisation strategy.

This is not maintenance engineering.

This is platform evolution.

The Role

You will operate as a hands-on Lead Engineer, leading a tight, high-calibre team of 4 engineers within a modern product-led environment.

You will:

• Drive technical direction and engineering standards
• Architect scalable, secure cloud-native solutions
• Lead by example through hands-on delivery
• Mentor and elevate developers and QA engineers
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture and Delivery
• Own quality, performance, resilience and security

This is leadership with credibility — not leadership from the sidelines.

The Tech Environment

• .NET 8 / C# 14
• Azure cloud (cloud-native, managed services first)
• React / TypeScript
• SQL Server / Entity Framework
• REST APIs
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Event-driven architecture
• Test automation & shift-left principles
