The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-funded, enterprise-scale SaaS organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its engineering platform as part of a wider digital transformation programme. With a rapidly growing customer base and multiple products operating across complex environments, the business is now strengthening its integration and API capability to ensure its platforms communicate seamlessly across internal systems, partners, and external services.

This role sits within a highly collaborative engineering environment where integration is treated as a core architectural capability, not an afterthought. The successful engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable integration services that power critical business functionality across multiple platforms.

You will work closely with software engineers, architects, and product teams to enable reliable, secure, and high-performing integrations that support enterprise-level SaaS delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building scalable API-led integrations across a modern SaaS platform ecosystem
  • Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations between internal services and third-party systems
  • Supporting the design of integration patterns and reusable services to improve scalability and maintainability
  • Working closely with software engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with business requirements
  • Implementing API governance, security, and best practices across integration services
  • Supporting the evolution of microservices and cloud-native architecture across the platform
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable reliable integration deployments

Technology Environment

While specific technologies vary across teams, the platform broadly operates across a modern cloud-native stack, including:

  • API and integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, API Gateway technologies, or similar)
  • Microservices architecture
  • RESTful APIs and event-driven messaging
  • Cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
  • CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices
  • Containerisation and modern deployment pipelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience building API-led integrations within enterprise software environments
  • Experience working with integration platforms or middleware technologies
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and integration patterns
  • Experience working within Agile engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of secure and scalable API design
  • Comfortable collaborating across engineering, architecture, and product teams

Why This Role Stands Out

This is an opportunity to join a growing SaaS engineering organisation where integrations sit at the heart of the platform strategy. Engineers here work on complex, high-impact systems that support a large user base and evolving product suite.

You will be joining a team that values engineering quality, scalable architecture, and collaborative problem solving, while offering exposure to modern technologies and enterprise-scale challenges.

For engineers who enjoy working on complex distributed systems and integration-heavy environments, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the evolution of a modern SaaS platform.
