The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly scaling SaaS enterprise embarking on an ambitious digital transformation programme, modernising its platforms and products to deliver exceptional user experiences at scale.

As part of this evolution, they’re building out a world-class engineering function and are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to drive quality, automation, and performance across complex, cloud-based systems. This is a role for someone who wants to be part of something new — shaping test strategy, influencing engineering standards, and ensuring excellence across every release.

The Role

As Senior Test Engineer, you’ll be hands-on with automation and performance testing, working closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps specialists to guarantee quality from concept through to deployment. You’ll have a real voice in how testing is done, introducing modern frameworks, optimising CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring others along the way.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing robust test strategies and automation frameworks aligned with agile delivery.
• Developing automated test suites using C# , Playwright/Cypress , and RestSharp for web and API testing.
• Ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability through K6 and other performance tools.
• Building test pipelines integrated with Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborating with developers to debug, resolve, and prevent defects through shift-left testing practices.
• Supporting continuous improvement across tools, frameworks, and QA processes.

About You

You’re a technically minded test professional who’s passionate about building quality into everything you touch. You thrive on automation, think like an engineer, and bring ideas that raise the bar.

You’ll bring:

• Strong experience in automation testing within modern web and API environments.
• Hands-on expertise in C# , Playwright or Cypress , and Postman/SoapUI .
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and containerised environments ( Docker ).
• Solid understanding of GIT , Agile , and CI/CD workflows.
• A proactive approach, with the confidence to challenge, mentor, and lead by example.

Bonus points for knowledge of database testing , risk management , and integration testing across complex systems.
