A high-growth enterprise SaaS organisation is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead and develop multiple engineering teams working on large-scale, business-critical platforms used across international markets.

This is not a “keep the lights on” management role. The business is investing heavily into modern engineering practices, platform evolution, AI adoption, and delivery maturity — and this hire will sit right at the centre of that journey.

The Opportunity

You’ll lead a team of circa 10–12 software engineers, helping shape engineering culture, delivery standards, technical direction, and team growth.

The role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys leadership — coaching engineers, improving ways of working, driving performance, and creating an environment where strong engineers can thrive.

You’ll work closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and senior leadership, helping bridge strategy with execution across multiple large-scale software initiatives.

This is a highly visible role with genuine influence across engineering operations, delivery processes, tooling, hiring, and long-term technical improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing software engineering teams
  • Driving modern engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Creating strong delivery cultures focused on collaboration, accountability, and quality
  • Supporting engineers with career development, progression planning, and coaching
  • Improving engineering effectiveness across tooling, process, and delivery
  • Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product and Programme functions
  • Helping shape scalable, resilient software delivery practices
  • Supporting technical decision-making and problem solving across teams
  • Playing a key role in hiring, onboarding, and growing engineering capability

  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams in modern SaaS or enterprise technology environments
  • Strong technical grounding with the ability to guide and challenge engineering teams credibly
  • Experience driving engineering improvements across people, process, and technology
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for team development, coaching, and building high-performance cultures
  • Comfortable operating within Agile delivery environments
  • Someone who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational impact
