Development Consultant - NEC Housing

We’re looking for an experienced NEC Housing Systems Development Consultant to support the ongoing improvement, configuration, and optimisation of NEC Housing systems.

• £600p/d Umbrella

This is an interim assignment where you’ll play a key role in shaping system use, driving efficiencies, and ensuring services can deliver at pace.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, configuring, and enhancing NEC Housing modules to meet operational and statutory requirements.
• Supporting system upgrades, integrations, and workflow improvements.
• Partnering with service managers and end users to capture requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, test scripts, and change logs.
• Leading on user acceptance testing (UAT) and supporting business readiness for new releases.
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and advising on best practice to improve system adoption.

What we’re looking for:

• Significant knowledge of NEC Housing and NEC DM, with hands-on experience configuring modules and workflows.
• Strong background in systems development, housing processes, and data management.
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders across services to define requirements and deliver workable solutions.
• Experience of UAT, system testing, and supporting change management.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence and engage both technical and non-technical users.
