Mainframe Cloud Architect

Mainframe Modernization Architect 

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization Architect to support a large-scale enterprise transformation program focused on migrating legacy mainframe applications to a modern cloud-based environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Rocket Software Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus Enterprise Server), Enterprise Developer, and Enterprise Analyzer.

• Proven expertise in COBOL replatforming and mainframe modernization initiatives.

• Hands-on experience with DB2 (z/OS and LUW), data migration, and Precisely CDC.

• Strong AWS knowledge with AWS Solution Architect Associate certification (or higher).

• Experience with IBM MQ/Amazon MQ and job scheduling tools such as Control-M.

• Knowledge of security migration and governance, including RACF-to-LDAP migration, AWS KMS, and Security Hub.

• Experience leading architecture and delivery across complex multi-vendor enterprise programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Rocket Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer environments.

• Set up and manage CICS and batch processing regions.

• Configure and maintain VSAM file emulation and file handlers.

• Manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EBS, and FSx services.

• Support cloud migration, modernization, integration, and operational readiness activities.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the modernization lifecycle.
