Pay Rate: £308 per day all inc.(PAYE through Umbrella)

Job description:

  • The IT Service Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting global network functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to end users across the organisation. This position is focused on managing operational ( Run ) and project-related costs for network services, while assisting in the development of financial plans for an evolving, globally integrated service landscape.
  • The role requires a strong balance of stakeholder engagement, cost management, and coordination across technical and business teams.A key responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the Vendor Manager and technical teams to gather and analyse requirements related to network services. The IT Service Manager will translate these requirements into financial forecasts and communicate them effectively to business units, ensuring transparency in budgeting, forecasting, and vendor-related payments. This includes supporting the financial planning process for both ongoing services and new technical solutions.
  • The IT Service Manager will contribute significantly to the organisation's cost optimisation initiatives. As the company continues to integrate multiple affiliates and standardise hardware and software vendors, this role will help identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and contract optimisation. These efficiencies will be leveraged to reduce operational costs and reinvest savings into strategic projects or system enhancements.
  • This is a highly collaborative, stakeholder-facing role within the network team.
  • The IT Service Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across approximately 28 affiliate organisations, establishing strong communication channels to support financial forecasting, address service-related queries, and ensure that vendor requirements are consistently met. Building and maintaining effective relationships with these stakeholders is essential to the success of the role.
  • In addition, the IT Service Manager will partner with Network Service Operations and Engineering teams to support service planning and evaluate vendor solutions. The role involves providing feedback on vendor performance and contributing to decision-making processes that improve service quality and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will also be involved in the initiation and coordination of new projects, working with internal customers to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to key processes.
  • The position also supports a broader network transformation programme, managing vendor-commercial operations across both existing and newly integrated companies. This includes aligning vendor strategies with organisational objectives and ensuring consistent service standards across the global network.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage budgets, coordinate across multiple teams, and build lasting professional relationships. While this is not a purely technical or accounting role, some familiarity with IT services, vendor management, or financial processes would be advantageous. Comprehensive training will be provided to support development in these areas.
  • Overall, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of a global network service, balancing operational excellence, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
