Role: Tableau Developer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: Until 30/06/2026
Rate: £268 per day Inside IR35
Role Description:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and developing interactive dashboards, optimizing data visualizations, and enabling data-driven decision-making across business units. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to transform complex datasets into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
Ensure visualizations are intuitive, performant, and aligned with user requirements.
Data Integration & Preparation:
Connect Tableau to various data sources including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean, structured, and optimized datasets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with business users to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and translate them into effective visual solutions.
Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau usage and self-service capabilities.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and improve dashboard performance through efficient data modelling and visualization techniques.
Implement best practices for data security, governance, and version control.
Documentation & Standards:
Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and processes.
Contribute to BI standards and reusable components across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
Solid understanding of data visualization principles, dashboard UX, and data storytelling.
Experience integrating Tableau with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise data warehouses.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Tableau certifications (eg, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
Experience with Python, R, or other analytics tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
