Pay-rate: £458 per day (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Description:
**Data Management Specialist – Insurance**
- Not a practitioner, someone who can outline the approach, work, artefacts for data management across the entire insurance value chain of Insurance- critically define personas, define data management practices - inc. product master, cataloguing, data quality
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage large-scale data programmes (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Analytics, AI/ML) aligned to insurance business objectives.
- Oversee delivery of multi-project portfolios across policy, claims, underwriting, and customer data domains.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate insurance requirements into data solutions.
- Drive data governance, quality, and compliance (e.g., IRDAI, Solvency II, GDPR).
- Manage programme budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure integration of core insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.) with data and analytics ecosystems.
- Lead cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, and analysts.
**Required Skills & Experience**
- 10+ years of programme/project management experience with a strong focus on data initiatives.
- Proven experience in the insurance domain (policy, claims, underwriting).
- Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT, and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery models.
