Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAS Viya QA Engineer to support testing activities for SAS Viya platform implementations. The role focuses on hands-on testing, automation, and data validation to ensure high-quality delivery of data analytics and reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and execute functional, integration, and data validation tests for SAS Viya applications
• Validate SAS components including:
• SAS Studio
• CAS (Cloud Analytic Services)
• Visual Analytics
• Model Manager
• Test data ingestion, transformation workflows, and reporting outputs
• Support validation of analytical models and scoring pipelines
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts (UI, API, and data validation)
• Use tools such as:
• Selenium/Playwright (UI automation)
• Postman/Rest Assured (API testing)
• SQL/Python for Back End validation
• Perform data integrity checks across SAS datasets and external systems
• Validate business logic, transformations, and aggregations
• Support performance and scalability testing for SAS Viya workloads
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to resolve issues
• Support test execution and reporting within Agile teams
• Hands-on experience with SAS Viya (3.x/4.x)

Experience with:

• Base SAS, PROC SQL
• Data processing and transformation workflows
• Strong SQL and data validation skills
• Experience with API testing and automation tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
