Role Title: UI UX Lead (GenAI)

Role Description:

Lead the design and delivery of intuitive, intelligent, and scalable user experiences for data products powered by GenAI, with a strong emphasis on natural language search and data discoverability. You will shape the UX/UI strategy for enterprise-grade tools that enable users to interact with complex data assets through conversational and visual interfaces. The role also demands hands-on development expertise in modern front-end frameworks and API integration to ensure seamless and performant user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

UX/UI Strategy & Leadership

• Define and drive the UX/UI vision for GenAI-enabled data products.

• Lead design efforts across multiple product streams, ensuring consistency and usability.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to align design with business and technical goals.

Design & Development Execution

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for NLP search interfaces and GenAI-powered workflows.

• Develop and implement responsive, accessible, and performant front-end components using React and/or Angular.

• Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services to enable dynamic data interactions and GenAI capabilities.

• Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics.

GenAI & NLP Integration

• Design interfaces that support natural language interactions, summarisation, and intelligent recommendations.

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to visualise GenAI outputs and integrate them into user workflows.

• Translate complex data catalog structures into intuitive user journeys.

User Research & Insights

• Conduct user interviews, surveys, and behavioural analysis to inform design decisions.

• Identify pain points in data discovery and usage, and propose UX solutions to address them.

Governance & Standards

• Establish design guidelines and reusable components for data products.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, ethical design, and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Lead or Senior Designer in enterprise environments, with strong understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.

• Strong portfolio showcasing design work for data-intensive or AI-powered applications.

• Deep understanding of GenAI concepts, especially NLP search and conversational interfaces.

• Hands-on development experience with React and/or Angular, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimisation.

• Strong knowledge of API integration, including RESTful services, authentication flows, and error handling.

• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping platforms.

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end development principles.

• Experience working in Agile teams and regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
